The 2022 World New Energy Vehicle Conference closed on August 28. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Transport said that they will further support the development and application of new energy intelligent networked vehicles.

The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Transport said that the next step will be to implement the "14th Five-Year Plan for Green Transportation", study and formulate action plans for green and low-carbon development of transportation, and explore the application of market mechanisms such as carbon credits and carbon emission verification in the industry. In conjunction with relevant departments, it will issue a subsidy policy for the operation of new energy vehicles in the public sector.

Li Guoping, Safety Director of the Ministry of Transport: By the end of 2025, the proportion of new energy vehicles in urban public transportation, taxis, and logistics distribution will reach 72%, 35% and 20% respectively.

Li Guoping said that the Ministry of Transport will work with relevant departments to implement special projects such as new energy vehicles and new-generation artificial intelligence, strengthen the research and development of key technologies for green transportation and intelligent transportation, and provide scientific and technological guarantees for the independent development of new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicle industries. At the same time, speed up the formulation of key technical standards around new energy vehicles, autonomous driving, and vehicle-road coordination to support the orderly development of the industry.
